USP College

Introduction

USP College was formed in 2017 following the merger of Seevic College in Benfleet and Palmer’s College in Grays. The College’s history dates back to 1706 when Palmer’s first opened after merchant William Palmer founded a charity school for Grays' parish, while the Seevic Campus opened in 1972 as a Sixth Form college.

The new further education college builds on its strengths and heritage to provide even better prospects for Essex students. This reflects the direction the college is taking – career-focused learning giving students the skills employers need, with students gaining formal qualifications and developing professional skills desired by businesses. We have established links and partnerships with high-achieving universities and businesses across the country. The college prides itself on having a unique, safe, and inclusive environment, where its students can be who they want to be; we aim to see them succeed.
