This A-level Pure Mathematics course is designed for students working at home. The topics are presented in small "chunks" with worked examples followed by activities for the student. Revision tests are provided after every three or four sections, and there is a Test Paper at the end of each module, which is a mock exam, so you should revise the content of the module before you do the Test Paper.

The department of Mathematics was founded as a major, independent unit within the Faculty of Science in 2004. The department was reformed in 2007. Since then it has had six subunits, Theory of Algebra and Number, Geometry, Theory of Calculus and Functions, Topology, Mathematical Logic and Foundations of Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, and Computer Science and steadily improved in the areas of academics and education. The Associate in Science in Mathematics for Transfer degree prepares students for careers in mathematics and disciplines where mathematical skills are essential. The problem-solving skills acquired in mathematics are useful for various jobs in fields such as physics, chemistry, engineering, data analysis, finance and business, biology, medicine, computer science, and teaching.

The Associate of Science in Mathematical Sciences (ASMS) goal is to prepare students interested in pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) related fields.

The following pre-major is recommended for students considering completing a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics after transferring to a four-year institution. It is designed for students who have not decided upon a specific four-year college or university.

The program is designed for students transferring to a 4-year school to complete their BS or BA degree in Mathematics. It allows students to complete the first 2 years of the BS degree at the community college.
