The course in Film - Creating and Producing is a two-year international film education with the opportunity for you to get certification in Steadicam and go on study trips abroad. We are at the forefront of technology, which means that you get access to equipment according to industry standards and a modern Virtual Production studio, which is unique in Sweden.

For one month each year, 15 selected participants co-direct a series of 3-5 minute documentaries with OTOXO Productions. These shorts are distributed to festivals & media outlets around the world and streamed on the OTOXO platform. For these reasons alone we demand the highest quality of work from our participants and provide them with the highest quality of training to ensure it.

This two-year program was created so you can focus intensively on training, performance, and professional opportunities. The GPD/GD program usually comes after the completion of a Master of Music degree. Compared to the Master of Music, it requires fewer academic courses and is focused on your skills and interests. If you want to dig in deeper before launching your career, this program is perfect for you.

At Music Business Management, you can specialize in an area of the music industry that interests you and gain the competence to work with music both in the Nordic region and internationally. Music Business Management is a two-year vocational education for those who want to learn about the Nordic and international music industry.

Over the three-week period this imaginative and inspirational theatre summer school program will combine a series of skill-based master classes and ensemble workshops in which students will work as a team under the guidance of a professional director to create an exciting piece of divised theatre, to be performed in the final week.

This Diploma of Higher Education in Music will broaden and deepen your understanding of music through the study of a wide range of genres (including Western art music, jazz, popular music, and non-western music). You’ll combine practical activities, which involve making your recordings, with learning about the scientific basis for music and how it is heard and perceived.

Whether you are already working in the industry, studying acting in college, or still in high school, our four-week Summer Intensive Training programs are built to offer you the personalized training you need. Our courses in Acting for Film and Television or Musical Theatre Performance enable experienced performers to work on skill-building, and novice performers to sample the life of an actor living and working in New York City. 

Our Foundation Musical Theatre course will teach you the core aspects of musical theatre, including dancing, singing and acting. This entry level programme is designed to bring you up to speed on all the competencies you need to move on to a degree level qualification in Musical Theatre either at the IAB or elsewhere.

The Higher Certificates (HC) courses at AFDA are 1-year NQF level 5 programs designed to lay a foundation of basic skills and learning to enter the creative economy at an assistant level, as well as enable further access to degree level education for the first year in the BA or BCom degrees at AFDA. The Higher Certificate in Film, Television and Entertainment Production focuses on basic technical and/or production skills important for the running of a film or television set.

Expanding digital markets continue to present new challenges for the workforce. With this in mind, the Digital Film & Video program offers students a curriculum which is designed to prepare them to meet the needs of industry.

Our aim is to inspire the next generation by developing and nurturing talent as well as supporting a thorough understanding of how the industry works. You will be able to gain experience working within a student-led production company with live client briefs. The course offers strong industry links and the College has benefitted from working with the BBC, Twofour, Eddystone Media, and Radio Plymouth.

Students who wish to pursue courses within these fields will be equipped with the necessary skills to enable them to formulate deeper interests and knowledge in theatre, dance and related fields such as film, television, advertising and teaching and/or preparation for pursuing research degrees (for students wishing to enter academia). Students will be exposed to the educational contexts of arts and culture and will explore some of the key discourses in Dance, including Dance and Cultural formation, History and Aesthetics. Coursework will be by seminars, practical workshops, engagement with on and off campus dance groups, conferences, and symposia. Upon successful completion of Associate in Science in Mt. San Antonio College’s Film, Television, and Electronic Media for Transfer degree requirements, the student will have demonstrated an understanding of coursework and foundational training in all stages of television and film production, including the historical, business and legal underpinnings of the industry; writing for the screen; visual and aural aesthetics; live and pre-recorded television and film production techniques; and post-production aesthetics and techniques.
