Introduction
Queensland makes up about a fifth of the total area of Australia. Along the coastline are fertile plains and river valleys. The main agricultural products are tropical fruits, beef and wool. Brisbane is the fastest growing city and to the north of it are the coastal beaches and lakes of the Sunshine Coast (or Sunny Bay). To the south there is also another popular tourist destination: Gold Coast (or Costa Dorada).
