Introduction
This course will give you an insight into the floristry industry. It will allow you to develop necessary skills in a wide range of floristry techniques, including tied designs, wedding designs and general floral arrangements.
The course is mostly practical and will be delivered in the college’s floristry workshops, and classroom sessions will support the development of practical skills to develop an understanding of the theory of floristry including the selection, identification and use of flowers and foliage. Work-related experience is a required course element so you will have the opportunity for a high quality work placement, which will give you an insight into the everyday operation of a floristry business. During the programme, you will also have the opportunity to develop your maths and English skills to support your employability further.
