Introduction
The course is at a postgraduate level and is compulsory for third-cycle courses and study programs.
After completing the course, the doctoral students shall have the ability to explain fundamental questions, theories, and concepts within normative ethics, metaethics, and view of life studies; identify areas within the welfare society that can be analyzed using ethical and view of life study.
After completing the course, the postgraduate students shall have the ability to justify and make use of philosophical methods for the analysis of ethical and view of life study issues within the area related to the individual in the welfare society.
After completing the course, the doctoral students shall have the ability to critically reflect on ethical and view of life issues within the area related to the individual in welfare.
The subjects covered by the course are as follows: fundamental ethical theories; central ethical concepts such as autonomy, human dignity, justice; social ethics; fundamental concepts within view of life studies; philosophical method.
