Introduction
Administrative Assisting students acquire proficiency in working with current MS Windows software applications, computerized keyboarding, business correspondence, desktop publishing, records management, data entry, business math and accounting, time and project management, electronic office procedures, editing and proofreading, and office management.
Because these graduates develop strong organizational skills and human relations skills, work opportunities exist for these professional specialists in various offices: education, insurance, manufacturing, banks, government, engineering, and medical. Students are allowed to develop team-building and collaborative work techniques through many group project assignments. Students completing this two-year degree complete a one-semester internship. This provides them with work experience in the community.
