Geography majors develop knowledge of international culture, environment, geoscience, history and politics while building critical thinking, analytical reasoning and practical problem-solving skills useful in a broad range of careers in today's complex, interconnected world. Completion of the Associate of Arts in Geography Degree for Transfer (Geography ADT) will prepare you to meet minimum lower division admission requirements (60 transferable units) for transfer to a California State University (CSU) or University of California (UC). Some UC schools may require additional coursework, so please meet with a counselor for further assistance. Geologic science is the science of the earth. It is an organized body of knowledge about the earth or planet on which we live - about the mountains, the plains, the oceans, and the atmosphere. It studies the effects of geologic hazards, such as earthquakes, landslides, floods, and volcanic eruptions. It also addresses the ways to conserve and protect the world's fragile geologic environment. Planetary science concerns itself with the study of the origin of galaxies and the universe, along with the laws which order these systems and bodies.

The Postgraduate Diploma in Arts (PGDipArts) requires two semesters of full-time study. It entails a structured Program of postgraduate coursework and, in some instances, a piece of supervised research that counts for one or two of the required papers. The normal admission requirement is a completed Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in the major of the proposed Program.

Daytona State College sponsors a full-time radiography program. Radiography, AS program completion leads to an Associate of Science Degree in Radiography. Program graduates are eligible for national certification/registration in radiography by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and appropriate state licensure.

The Black Canadian Studies Certificate introduces the study of Black Canada through four specific humanities and fine arts approaches: cultural studies, history, literature, and music. In providing a core of courses that consider the humanities and fine arts aspects of black cultures in the Americas and their particular convergence in Canada, the certificate is unique both in Canada and across North America.

The course introduces the concepts and application of geographic information systems and science (GIS). It is designed for students without former GIS experience. It focuses on the use of GIS for scientific inquiry and its application for real-world problem-solving.
