This course of study is designed to prepare students for entry level positions in municipal and county law enforcement agencies (i.e. police or sheriff departments), and/or to transfer to Bachelor’s degree programs in Criminal Justice or related fields to prepare for federal or state-level law enforcement positions (i.e., FBI, DEA, INS, etc.)

The Criminal Justice AA prepares students to transfer to a university in the best position for on-time graduation. Students will study how the American Criminal Justice System functions, why crime occurs, and have opportunities to study policing, juveniles, criminal law, investigations, and victimology.

The Access to Higher Education Diploma in Criminal Justice and Policing Studies, as validated by CAVA, is a City College Norwich qualification that prepares students aged 19 years and over, without relevant qualifications, for study at degree level.
