The Culinary Arts Program is a full-time program for 3 years, aiming at preparing students for immediate employment and advancement. The program is offered in both English and Greek languages, and corresponds to Level 5 of the European/National Qualifications Framework. The Culinary Arts program equips graduates to successfully meet professional challenges in the Hotel and Catering Industry, with a systematic approach to the quality and quantity of food preparation and customer service, as applied today at the highest level, in hotels, restaurants, food and beverage service units, and other catering establishments.

At the center of Wabash College’s curriculum since its founding, the Classics delve into the history, art, archaeology, mythology, and literature of ancient Greece and Rome. The Wabash Classics department continues to give instruction in Greek and Latin from beginning to advanced levels as the most immediate means of exploring the ancient world, of understanding the structure and vocabulary of our English language, and of preparing for the technical vocabulary used in the medical and legal professions today. These offerings are supplemented by other classical studies that focus on aspects of ancient civilization, e.g., ancient medicine, Greek and Roman religion, Roman urban planning, ancient political theory, Greek philosophy, and ancient rhetoric.

This fall we will be offering the following ancient language courses at our Jerusalem Campus, and/or Online as indicated under course descriptions: Latin (Levels I, II, & III), Ancient Greek (All Levels), Biblical Hebrew (Levels I, II, & IV), Classical Syriac (Level I), and Coptic (Level I). All courses are taught using the Polis Method, which is based on total language immersion from the very first class.
