Carpentry and Renovation Techniques is a one-year college certificate program that takes students from a building layout to the completion of a residential construction project. Students will become knowledgeable on blueprint reading, building code, and construction methods. Graduates have the option to use the techniques they learned to enter the workforce or continue with their education.

Welding Technology touches on every profession and industry that uses metal. This certificate provides students with the technical knowledge and skill, in oxyacetylene cutting and FCAW/GMAW welding, to be able to enter into a welding career either in the field or shop environment. With these new skills, students will be able to obtain entry-level employment as a welder’s helper or in a shop production welding setting welding structural steel, parts of medium thickness, or sheet steel.

The Building Systems Technician program trains students to maintain and repair complex systems in commercial and institutional buildings, including energy-efficient boilers and HVAC systems. This in-demand career requires strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or in teams.

In just 28 weeks, you’ll put craftsmanship to good use by gaining hands-on experience and the skills you need to enter the construction and renovation sector. You’ll develop a basic understanding of how to plan, estimate, manage, and deliver a typical renovation project, including courses on welding and framing.
