Veterinary Medical Office Certificate

This 8-month (2 semester) Certificate program prepares you to provide effective office administration in veterinary offices and clinics. You will learn computer applications, office administration and financial procedures relevant to veterinary practice, veterinary medical terminology and common health issues in veterinary practice.
95% of Bow Valley College Administration Certificate graduates are employed in the field of their education. The growth in the veterinary field has been rapid thanks to a double-digit increase in pet ownership in the past 10 years.
8-months (2 semesters)
- Credit in English 30-1 or 30-2 or equivalent
- Credit in a Grade 10 Math (excluding Math 10-4 and Math 16 levels)
- Successful completion of the General Equivalency Development test (GED) with a standard score of 520 in Language Arts: Reading and Writing and 450 in Math
- Satisfactory results on the BVC Admissions Test

Work experience options are available. Please contact a Student Engagement Officer for details. Learners will be required to obtain a Police Information Check (PIC) and Immunization Report dated within 90 days of the start of work experience. A Standard First Aid/ CPR Health Provider taken within six months prior to work experience is also required.
