Introduction
Licensed Practical Nurses provide compassionate, professional nursing care to patients and clients of all ages. Learn how to integrate theory into practice and bring a holistic, humanistic approach to patient care.
Study anatomy, physiology, the foundations of health, pharmacology, health assessment, long-term and rehabilitative care, medical and surgical care, obstetrics, pediatrics, mental health, addictions, and more. Standard First Aid/CPR Healthcare Provider ‘C’ AED, TLR, and WHMIS along with clinical practice and practicums are included.
When you graduate, you’ll be eligible to write the Canadian Practical Nursing Registration Exam and be able to pursue one of the numerous opportunities available in acute-care, rehab-care, long-term care, home care, and medical centers.
