This Southampton Pre-Masters is an integrated programme designed to prepare and develop students from outside the UK who have an undergraduate degree but may not be considered adequately qualified for direct entry to their chosen Masters course.
(Please note: students with an undergraduate degree from the UK are not normally considered for this programme)
The programme provides a direct route for students onto a variety of master’s degree programmes including Archaeology, Art, Business, Economics, Engineering, English, Film, Health Sciences, History, Law, Modern Languages and Linguistics, Music, Philosophy and Social Sciences. It is available for 18 months (January start) or 2 years duration (September start) -some exceptions apply....

Preparing international students for direct entry on to a master's degree, with guaranteed conditional progression to one of NCUK's 16 universities.
The Pre-Master's will develop your English language skills, a wide range of study skills, and postgraduate research skills. It is not subject-specific, and has been designed for international students looking to study a business or management-related course.
Course options available
Pre-Master's (3 terms, September entry)- this offers an additional preparatory term of the Management Studies module and has a lower English language requirement
Pre-Master's (2 terms, January entry) - this is the standard option, suitable for most students
