This course is designed to provide general law enforcement professionals with no previous Spanish experience with the tools necessary for interacting with native Spanish speakers. During this 4-week course, students will work through simulated interactions with Spanish speaking patients to acquire the basic linguistic knowledge and skills that will allow them to comfortably tackle these interactions when they return home.
This course is aimed to highlight the importance of Conservation Marine Biology in managing Costa Rican Elasmobranch species (sharks and rays) with the emphasis on recent conservation efforts in the Easter Tropical Pacific (ETP). Marine ecosystems of the ETP provide a baseline source for sharks and rays species of high commercial interest in satisfying human demand for national and international food.
This course introduces the basic concepts of oceanography, marine geology, marine ecology, and marine biology, with emphasis on the interaction between species, between species and their environment and between ecosystems. It also provides information on the natural and human environmental impact and the utility, management, and conservation of the ecosystems.

The private lessons will be customized to match your personal interests and needs. These afternoon classes emphasize extending your active vocabulary and improving your proficiency. They are a great complement to the morning classes.
Learn Spanish in Costa Rica! This program puts you in a group with students of a similar level. With a maximum of four students per group, your participation is assured and your progress is guaranteed. Classes are scheduled from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m., with a 20-minute break at 10 a.m. This program provides plenty of time for Spanish instruction while still allowing enough free time to enjoy our free cultural activities throughout the week.
