The course begins with a 10-month residential theoretical training (ATPL Residential Ground School). Under normal circumstances the flying training begins about 1 month after the start of the course. The duration of the course can vary from 12 to 36 months depending on the student’s personal schedule. On average most students complete the course in 16 months.
