During the first week in Venice you will visit and study the best architecture projects in the city, review strategies and narratives around them.

A unique opportunity to approach the universe of computer graphics and gain general knowledge in its various segments such as: Animation, Concept Art, Special Effects (VFX), Games and Virtual Reality (VR). The learning happens during the development of a series of projects, that is, the student will "learn by doing", in a 100% practical and interdisciplinary way. The program was created for the student who is interested in the subject, but has little or no experience and would like to become a professional or change the career.

The course is structured in three modules. In the first are key elements such as: image capture, creation from raw material and general notions of the main software used in the industry. At this stage the professions of the areas are contextualized. In the second and third module the student chooses a specific area to develop in more depth: Animation, Games or Visual Effects. The Class’Art is a one-year drawing intensive program designed to provide a strong foundation for students who intend to pursue further studies in academic or professional art schools worldwide or to aid in refining the observational drawing skills of artists with an existing practice. Exercises are designed to foster a rational process for translating visual phenomena with line and value. The rigorous curriculum is centred on the traditional study of plaster casts and drawing from the live model.

Postgraduate Degree Programme in Public Art and New Artistic Strategies (M.F.A.)

The Faculty of Art and Design at the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar established the English-language, postgraduate M. F. A. degree programme in »Public Art and New Artistic Strategies« in the winter semester 2001/02. As the first and only master‘s degree programme of its kind in Germany, it prepares fine arts students for working in the public sphere and provides them with the skills required for effective artistic intervention.This degree programme is targeted at international students and was established with start-up capital provided by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD). Students from around the world participate in this MFA programme, and German students benefit from the vast network of international partner universities where they can study for one or two semesters abroad. Enrolment in this degree programme is limited to 40 students. Foreign students spend four semesters studying in Weimar, while German students are required to study abroad for at least one semester. The Photography Management course is a two-year course, which covers all the industrial and business aspects related to the photography department. The course typically requires around 950 hours, varying according to the expected production.

I Year - Photography from Set

Photographic Theory, Film-to-Digital Camera, Lenses, Lights, Film Structure, Procedures and Security on Set, as well as technical steps related to the study of image, composition, and framing, these are the focal points of the first year course. At the end of the year, the specific areas of the direction of photography as a whole were developed to introduce the program for the second year.

This dynamic short course focuses on the analysis of an image and the development of style. From the definition of fashion moods to the importance of accessories, participants will evaluate aspects related to traits of the body and learn how to enhance and complement physical characteristics. They will work on the development of an individual style through the construction of a ‘total look’ and capture it in a photo shoot via a vocational learning approach.

Style overview: participants study and explore key periods in history that represent past, present styles, future fashion trends and the elements that characterize and influence them. In order to fully understand the role of the stylist, participants will be guided in sourcing and collating information from research tools such as books and fashion magazines and through specific virtual domains relevant to fashion and luxury, as well as conducting iconographic research.... Overview:

An intensive course that aims to provide participants, which already possess the basic photographic techniques, the tools in order to learn the methods, the tricks and the difficulties of professional food photography. The student will learn to plan and organize their own creative process, starting from the idea of the project, then move through the process of the research for the proposed topics, planning for the following operational phases such as shooting, post-production, and finally the elaboration of the final product. The photographers will also have the ability to interact with various figures working in the world of food and professional photography.

The practical part will allow to experience the photographic medium with techniques and tools suitable for the type of shooting and the desired image. Students will learn how to build up a set, find the best solutions to create and obtain images in a short time and in a variety of situations.... [-]

To guide the conception, preparation, realization and completion of an own work and that the student is able to develop a personal, coherent and faithful work with a work plan that he designs.

During this course, comments are made on photographic books, conferences / colloquiums with authors from different areas that explain their point of view, visits to exhibitions, comments on photographs by various authors and personalized follow-up of the work that students will be doing.
