Wake up to beauty. A new concept of architecture master. The characteristic of these courses is that Academic theory is combined with practice on real jobs site. Our motivation in designing these courses is that we want to instill in the students a new form of knowledge through a sensorial experience called "space design experience". How we do this? We start with the phases of reception through knowledge of the history of a place ( every week a new site) where we discover and understand the facts that changed the course of history and gave us a new conception of space. -

Rationale of the Training Course - Eco-Cities: Policies for Sustainable Energy: Half the world’s population now live in built-up areas, with an estimated 60 million people being added every year. This rapid urban growth leads to environmental degradation and excessive demands on services and infrastructure. Energy consumption has increased drastically. To address this it is necessary to develop sustainable urban energy policies and best practices in efficient land use, transport, sustainable buildings and sustainable development overall. -

Rationale of the Training Course - Developing Social Housing Projects: One of the characteristics of developing countries is fast-growing cities and the lack of affordable and adequate housing. Social housing policies try to address the housing problem but have often been implemented in such ways that the people in real need are not reached and/or the social housing projects do not improve the overall living conditions of people or lack a contribution to sustainable urban development o their problems. -

Now is an important time for the international community, with the expiration of the Millennium Development Goals, which have allowed us to significantly improve the living conditions of the most vulnerable segments of the populations on the planet according to principles of, dignity, equality, and fairness. Despite great efforts to reduce extreme poverty and promote education and health, some of the main objectives were not achieved, such as the conservation of natural resources, the control of CO2 emissions and access to essential services. The objective of the course is to prepare designers who are able to analyze the site of intervention, identify the territory’s potentials and thus determine the strategies that will increase the resilience of local communities, helping to reduce their vulnerability to future environmental, economic and social change. -

One of the challenges today is to redefine the relationship between architecture and engineering as not only technological but genetic. Building owners, designers, and builders are called upon to radically change their design approach, identifying the evolution of traditional building techniques and searching for emerging technologies for unique opportunities to restore a deep connection with the climate, the culture and the natural landscape of the site of each intervention. The objective of the course is to design buildings with low technology (in terms of the physical plant) and to work with the form and the materials as new agents of performance. -
