Introduction
Allen’s associate degree in Anthropology prepares students for successful transfer to university study by providing a solid foundation in anthropology and related social sciences. With a degree in Anthropology, students’ career goals may focus on cultural anthropology, public policy analysis, archaeology, cultural resource management, or advocacy.
The degree track is a sequence of recommended Anthropology and general education courses designed to meet most Anthropology degree requirements for the first two years of study for Kansas Board of Regents universities, and for private university Anthropology degrees in central Kansas, so that students may transfer into the university at the junior level. Graduation with this degree helps to assure that successful transition.
