In this new international culinary program, students will have the opportunity, after two months of studying culinary arts at Kul IN, to continue their education at the Business and Hotel Management School in Lucerne, Switzerland.
As part of a two-month culinary program at Kul IN, students will learn basic culinary techniques, work with various ingredients and foods, learn to handle professional equipment, prepare a la carte meals and create menus. Over the course of the program, the students will acquire the skills necessary to thrive in the professional kitchen.
Partner school from Switzerland offers students the opportunity to further develop their culinary skills and knowledge through a compulsory internship program and with the help of top-ranking lecturers from around the world. The program focuses on European cuisine, however, students will also gain knowledge on baking, pastry, wine tasting and management.
The program aims to ensure that the students boost their prospect's for a career in a competitive, diverse world that is the culinary industry.
1. Studying in Sisak
As part of a two-month culinary program, students will learn through intensive practical lessons. They will gain knowledge on basic culinary techniques, work with various ingredients and foods, learn to handle professional equipment, prepare a la carte meals and create menus. Over the course of the program, the students will acquire the skills necessary to function independently and thrive in the professional kitchen. They will continue their education in Switzerland. Lessons and coursework are in English.
2. Studying in Lucerne
The program lasts 10 more weeks and continues at the partner school, Business & Hotel Management School, B.H.M.S. in Lucerne (Switzerland). The program introduces the students to the world of food production and preparation, focusing on practical training and individual approach. During the program at B.H.M.S. students will acquire knowledge on the preparation of classic European cuisine, pastry, baking, wine tasting, and management. They will have the opportunity to learn from lecturers with international professional experience and from top experts in the field of hospitality. Lessons and coursework are in English.
3. Internships
A three-month internship period in Swiss hotels or restaurants is a compulsory part of the program and a compelling opportunity to gain work experience in top professional kitchens, as well as receive first reimbursements during schooling. Internships provide the students with experience and knowledge and are a valuable recommendation that will boost the students' prospects for a career in the culinary industry.

Certificate in Culinary Arts
Duration of the program: 7 and a half months (2 months at Kul IN + 10 weeks at BHMS + 3 months of internships)
