Introduction
The Design Communications program introduces students to the basic competencies and knowledge required for entry into the graphic arts field. Training is production-oriented with emphasis on print media, website design, video graphics, and multimedia presentation. The program offers two options, allowing students to specialize with an Art emphasis or an Internet emphasis.
Design communications focus on digital illustration and layout techniques for print, web design, video graphics, and multimedia. Students are trained in the use of industry-standard graphics and design software and post-design processes for the field. Students completing the following curriculum will receive an Associate of Applied Science degree. To qualify for the A.A.S. degree, the student must complete a Capstone Experience in the program's final semester.
